The Vertical Worship Stele

A painting imitating an ancient Pharaonic relief (on a vertical slab or stele) in the Amarna style. The carving depicts a prominent central figure (believed to be King Akhenaten or a noble) with a conical headdress, raising their hands towards the radiant Solar Disc (Aten), from which rays extend, ending in small hands holding the Ankh (key of life) symbol. The central figure is surrounded by smaller figures (family members) in a worshiping posture. The colors are golden and brown, and the artwork shows the textures of the raised relief against a background resembling papyrus or stone.
